The 2025 Philippine local elections in the Negros Island Region are scheduled to be held on May 12, 2025.

Bacolod

Incumbent Albee Benitez (Independent) is running for the House of Representatives in Bacolod's lone legislative district.[1] He was elected under PDP–Laban with 61.54% of the vote in 2022.

Benitez endorsed representative Greg Gasataya (Nationalist People's Coalition), who is running against Bacolod vice mayor El Cid Familiaran (Lakas–CMD).[1][2]

Vice Mayor

Term-limited incumbent El Cid Familiaran (Lakas–CMD) is running for mayor of Bacolod.[1] He was re-elected under the Nacionalista Party with 48.79% of the vote in 2022.

Familiaran endorsed Bacolod councilor Enoy Novero (Independent), who is running against Bacolod councilor Kalaw Puentevella (Nationalist People's Coalition).[1][2]

Incumbent Eugenio Jose Lacson (Nationalist People's Coalition) is running for a third term.[3] He was re-elected with 92.63% of the vote in 2022.

Lacson is running against former Victorias mayor Wantan Palanca (Partido Demokratiko Pilipino) and three other candidates.[4]

Incumbent Jeffrey Ferrer (National Unity Party) is running for the House of Representatives in Negros Occidental's 4th legislative district.[5] He was re-elected with 92.06% of the vote in 2022.

The National Unity Party endorsed Negros Occidental board member Joeben Alonso, who is running against Rosemarie Jaro Dreyfus (Partido Lakas ng Masa).[3][4]

Incumbent Chaco Sagarbarria (Partido Federal ng Pilipinas) is running for a full term.[11] He became governor on May 31, 2023, after Guido Reyes died.

Sagarbarria is running against former Negros Oriental governor Pryde Henry Teves (Liberal Party) and four other candidates.[12][13]

Incumbent Jaime Reyes (Independent) is running for a first full term.[14] He became vice governor on May 31, 2023, after Chaco Sagarbarria became governor upon Gudio Reyes' death.

Reyes is running against Siaton mayor Fritz Diaz (Partido Federal ng Pilipinas) and Erwin Vergara (Independent).[13]

Term-limited incumbent Mimi Quezon (Aksyon Demokratiko) is running for the House of Representatives in Siquijor's lone legislative district. She was re-elected under the Nationalist People's Coalition with 57.44% of the vote in 2022.

Aksyon Demokratiko nominated former Larena mayor Danny Villa, who is running against Siquijor board member Dindo Tumala (Partido Federal ng Pilipinas).[17]

On the last day of candidate registration on October 8, 2024, an attempt was made to steal a certificate of candidacy at a COMELEC office in Himamaylan, Negros Occidental.[19]
