Dagupan

[edit]Incumbent Belen Fernandez (Partido Federal ng Pilipinas) is running for a second term.[1] She was elected under Aksyon Demokratiko with 55.80% of the vote in 2022.
Fernandez is running against Dagupan councilor Celia Lim (Nacionalista Party).[2][1]

[edit]Incumbent Matthew Manotoc (Nacionalista Party) was initially running for a third term, but withdrew on October 8, 2024, to run for vice governor unopposed.[3] He was re-elected with 73.51% of the vote in 2022.
Manotoc was substituted by Ilocos Norte vice governor Cecilia Marcos, who is running against Joy Butay (Independent).[3][4]

Incidents
[edit]On December 7, 2024, Ponciano Onia Jr., a reelectionist councilor of Umingan, Pangasinan, and concurrent national president of Abono Partylist, was shot dead in an ambush.[22] On January 25, 2025, Anthony Verzola, a reelectionist municipal councilor of Caoayan, Ilocos Sur, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen riding motorcycles in Vigan.[23]
