The 2025 Philippine House of Representatives elections in the Negros Island Region are scheduled to be held on May 12, 2025, as part of the 2025 Philippine general election.
Bacolod
[edit]Term-limited incumbent Greg Gasataya (Nationalist People's Coalition) is running for mayor of Bacolod.[1] He was elected in 2022 with 69.14% of the vote.
Gasataya's local coalition, Team Asenso Bacolod, nominated Bacolod mayor Albee Benitez (Independent) to run against four other candidates, including former Bacolod mayor Evelio Leonardia (Nacionalista Party).[1][2]

[edit]Incumbent Gerardo Valmayor Jr. (Nationalist People's Coalition) is retiring. He was re-elected unopposed in 2022.
The Nationalist People's Coalition nominated former representative Jules Ledesma to run against Erie Mahinay (Partido Lakas ng Masa).[3][4]

Negros Occidental's 3rd district
[edit]The seat is vacant after Jose Francisco Benitez (Partido Federal ng Pilipinas) resigned on August 16, 2024, upon appointment as Director-General of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority. He was elected in 2022 under PDP–Laban with 92.33% of the vote.
Benitez' nephew, Victorias mayor Javi Benitez (Partido Federal ng Pilipinas), is running against Joel Bantigue (Partido Lakas ng Masa).[7][8]

[edit]Incumbent Yoyette Ferrer (National Unity Party) is term-limited. She was re-elected unopposed in 2022.
Ferrer's husband, Negros Occidental vice governor Jeffrey Ferrer (National Unity Party), is running against former Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development assistant secretary Lea Delfinado (Nationalist People's Coalition).[9][10]

Limkaichong's nephew, La Libertad mayor Emmanuel Iway (Partido Federal ng Pilipinas), is running against Kingking Mijares (Liberal Party).[14]

Sagarbarria's wife, Dumaguete vice mayor Maisa Sagarbarria (Lakas–CMD), is running against three other candidates, including Dumaguete mayor Ipe Remollo (Liberal Party).[16]

Negros Oriental's 3rd district
[edit]The seat is vacant after Arnolfo Teves Jr. (Nationalist People's Coalition) was expelled on August 16, 2023, after being implicated in the assassination of Negros Oriental governor Roel Degamo. He was re-elected in 2022 with 48.99% of the vote. A special election was scheduled to be held on December 9, 2023, but was cancelled due to concerns about the situation in the district and Teves' appeal against his expulsion in the Supreme Court.
Teves' aunt, Janice Teves (Liberal Party), is running against two other candidates, including Pamplona mayor and Governor Degamo's widow, Janice Degamo (Lakas–CMD).[17][18]

Siquijor
