Has the perpetrator been identified yet? All the information I know is that it's a male who had a 10 year career in judiciary and was a Abdarchi (what even is that?) Bloxzge 025 (talk) 01:34, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: Speedy Moved. Clear consensus in the discussion, and the article doesn't use the word "Sharia" anywhere in its text, which gives us no basis for using is as the title. — Amakuru (talk) 20:29, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: Assassination implies intent, and very technically we don't know if there was any intention or if anyone specifically was targeted. No motivation has been revealed. We know for sure there was an attack and a shooting and should stick with that. Harizotoh9 (talk) 09:14, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, I find the proposed name better than the current one, but "assassination" does not necessarily fit the facts we have right now, though that may change of course. For the time being, I would support a move to "2025 Iranian Supreme Court shooting". ChoucasBleu🐦⬛10:17, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Support as per above comment. Sharia feels irrelevant to the article, as Iran is by law a Sharia country, and as such the judges will all be of the Sharia faith. XFalcon2004x (talk) 17:20, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Strong support and WP:TROUT the user who titled the article this way. Google shows that not a single RS[13] uses the term "Sharia judges" in connection with this event. What's worse is that this made-up term is now on the front page of wikipedia.VR(Please ping on reply)19:13, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
