Rachel Westaway is an Australian politician serving as the member for Prahran in the Victorian Legislative Assembly since winning the 2025 Prahran state by-election. She is a member of the Victorian Liberal Party.

Career

Westaway served as a senior member of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal until it was abolished in October 2024.[1]

In February 2025, Westaway was elected to the Victorian Legislative Assembly at the 2025 Prahran state by-election which was held following the resignation of Sam Hibbins. Her campaign was based on "law-and-order" according to the ABC.[2]

Personal Life

Westaway has lived in South Yarra for 20 years and is of Thai-Chinese descent.[3] She is President of the Thai Australian Chamber in South Yarra.[4][better source needed]

Westaway has three children.[1]
