My Love Will Make You Disappear is a 2025 Philippine romantic comedy film directed by Chad V. Vidanes from a story by Prime Cruz and a screenplay by Patrick Valencia and Isabella Policarpio. The film stars Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino in their first film project .[1] It revolves around a romance between a woman with a history of disappearing boyfriends finds love with her landlord, who is fighting to save his community from being displaced.
Produced and distributed by Star Cinema, the film was theatrically released in the Philippines on 26 March 2025.
Premise
[edit]Sari believing she's cursed to make men disappear meets Jolo who wants to disappear himself. He tries to make her fall in love to escape his pain, but they genuinely start falling for each other. Sari scared of her curse, pushes him away, but Jolo persists, leaving their fate uncertain. Will their love defy the curse or prove Sari's fears true?[2]

Release
[edit]Originally scheduled to be released nationwide on 12 February 2025, it was moved to its official date on 26 March to avoid competition from Captain America: Brave New World and Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.[4][5] It also set to be released in North American theaters on 28 March.[6] It is set to release in cinemas in more than 30 countries.[7]
Reception

[edit]My Love Will Make You Disappear earned ₱40 million as of March 29, 2025, making it the highest opening day gross on a Filipino film in 2025 and $200,000 on its US opening day.[8] The film earned ₱100 million in the box office worldwide as of March 31, 2025. [9] The film earned $500,000 on its opening weekend in North America.[10]
